You will serve as a Nuclear Facilities Work Window Coordinator to perform as an intermediary between operations, maintenance, work planning, procurement, engineering, construction, and other support organizations. As an integral part of our Nuclear Asset Operations team, you will collaborate with external and internal partners to attain desired success states and sustain operations at NNSS Nuclear Facilities. | | Key Responsibilities | - Ensure planned operations, maintenance and construction activities can be executed as scheduled during their assigned work execution periods. | - Verify associated work packages have been generated and approved, necessary parts are on hand, special authorizations have been obtained and necessary resources are available. | - Provide feedback to the maintenance and scheduling organizations related to viability of schedules. | - Drive work planning and engineering priorities for activities related to future work execution. | - Interface with procurement organization for parts prioritization and future needs.
Selected applicant will primarily provide soil and concrete inspection activities supporting construction precision machining. This will include maintaining comprehensive company level QC program implementing documents for soils and concrete inspection and testing; and provide interpretations of codes and standards and mentor employees on procedural adherence to these processes. | | Key Responsibilities | - Perform oversight, through independent quality control inspections and verifications, of items, systems, components, or products that are fabricated or installed by other workers for new or existing facilities and infrastructures. | - Exhibit a high degree of technical knowledge and skills to execute applicable national consensus codes and standards in order to inspect, examine, or test items or products to ensure they meet design requirement. | - Select the appropriate national consensus codes or standards and develop quality inspection criteria to be used to perform inspections. | - Maintain qualification and or certification to perform Quality Control inspection activities based on education, training and experience in one or more of the inspection disciplines (e.g. materials testing and verification, concrete, soils, anchoring, etc.). | - Make autonomous judgment during inspections activities to determine whether items, systems, components, or products are acceptable for use, or not, based on design requirements. Generate nonconformance reports that document the objective evidence where items or products do not meet design requirements.
