Responsibilities

THIS IS AN EXTRA BOARD POSITION WITH A POTENTIAL TO BECOME A FULL-TIME POSITION.

 

MSTS is seeking a Guest Room Attendant (GRA) to join our Housing, Food Services and Custodial Team at the NNSS. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general Guest Room Attendant duties such as vacuuming, bed making, changing linen, emptying trash, dusting, mopping and sweeping.
  • General cleaning duties such as restroom cleaning, cleaning showers, cleaning offices, lounges and hallways, etc.
  • Responsible for cleaning 22 dormitory rooms in a 10-hour shift.
  • Replenishing use items such as soap, tissue and paper products if needed.
  • Work various shifts and locations.
  • Other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

  • Minimum 1 (one) year experience in housekeeping preferred.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions of this position.
  • Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job to include occasional lifting and carrying, occasional pushing and pulling.
    • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
    • Must be able to clean 22 dormitory rooms in a 10-hour shift.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English.
  • Must be able to stay on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • This is a collective-bargaining agreement position. Candidate must become and maintain good standing with the Culinary Union, Local 226.
  • The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada). Employees reporting to the NNSS will be paid zone pay (additional pay) per hour worked based on Employee's reporting point/location.
  • This is an Extra-Board position and will be scheduled weekly based on our needs and your availability. Work shifts are Monday - Thursday, typically 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
    • Must be willing and able to work varied shifts and locations.
    • Must be able to drive a standard & automatic vehicle.
  • A pre-placement drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ‘Identity, Credential, and Access Management,’ and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ‘Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors.’

Wage for this position is $24.58 per hour.

 

Salary is determined by the Project Labor Agreement (PLA).
