    Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

    • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years' of related and progressively responsible experience. 
    • Ability to foster teamwork, coach, supervise, mentor employees, handle pressure, give constructive feedback, ability to delegate, and manage conflict.
    • Project Management experience desired.
    • Knowledge of quality management, ability to achieve results, ability to develop budgets and metrics, ability to problem solve.
    • Must have adept knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
    • Must be able to apply knowledge of principles, concepts and theory related to professional business discipline/field related to the position and employ a systems approach to address issues and define and problems.
    • Ability to communicate with all types of people in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while screening and maintaining confidentiality.
    • Must be able to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions, and multiple tasks.
    • Must be able to exercise professionalism and discretion.
    • Must demonstrate professionalism when dealing with MSTS, NNSA/NSO, NNSA/HQ managers and other customers.
    • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license.

    Responsibilities

    This position provides leadership and management of the Support and Registration Section of the Counter-terrorism Support and Logistics (CTSL) Department in the Counter-terrorism Division (CTD), supporting Counter-terrorism Operations Support (CTOS) training projects and Counter-terrorism Test Operations (CTO) projects at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS).

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and direct a team comprised of approximately six full time and two part time personnel.
    • Establishes activity level work assignments and, or work projects relative to the assigned functions of the team to include Resident Course Registration, Mobile Course Registration, Travel Administration, Subcontract Oversight, Procurement and System Administration and other support functions as assigned.
    • Organizes and supervises day-to-day operations of the Training Support team, ensuring that schedules are kept.
    • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
    • Works closely with department managers to ensure project is performed within cost/schedule.
    • Monitors performance against metrics and goals as established by the Supervisor and CTD customers.
    • Responsible for working within assigned budget, ensuring correct charge numbers are used within prescribed guidelines.
    • Interacts daily with subordinates to confirm progress of work, remove obstacles for completing work and elevating challenges to manager as necessary.
    • Frequently interact with vendors to resolve purchase or contractual issues or questions.  Communicate with customers and stakeholders to ensure needs are met, information is shared and problems are resolved expeditiously. 
    • Promote and actively participate in the Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) safety concept.
    • Support and encourage employee participation in MSTS environment, safety, health, and quality initiatives.
