  • Qualifications

    Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

    • Bachelors' degree or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of related and progressively responsible experience.
    • Proficient knowledge of WP&C and Scheduling.
    • Ability to communicate (oral and written) with employees, managers, customers, vendors, etc.
    • Ability to set priorities.
    • Ability to supervise others.
    • Ability to build and lead teams and develop direct reports and others.
    • Ability to monitor and measure performance.
    • Ability to problem solve.
    • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
    • Must have a valid driver's license.

    Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4, “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted.  Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, and subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709, “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.

    Eligibility Requirements – To obtain a clearance, an individual must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age. Reference DOE Order 472.2, “Personnel Security.”

    The Scheduling Supervisor for the Work Planning and Control (WP&C) Division will assist with establishing an integrated scheduling program Site wide. They will be a subject matter expert for WP&C requirements in support of maintenance and construction of Real Property and Programmatic Equipment, Construction, and Subcontracts within the Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Facilities.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Point of Contact for WP&C questions, concerns, improvements and issue resolution.
    • Provide a trained and qualified WP&C staff to support maintenance and construction work for the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS), North Las Vegas, and other facilities.
    • Directly supervise individual contributors, including approving time, conducting performance evaluations, and participating in the recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training of staff.
    • Implement and follow company policies, procedures and directives.
    • Ensure compliance with Nuclear Facility Maintenance WP&C and Conduct of Operations requirements.
    • Establish activity level work assignments and/or work projects and directs work package planning.
    • Assign the prioritization of work orders.
    • Resolve issues arising from questions/problems encountered during the planning and review process.
    • Organize and supervise day to day operations, ensuring that schedules are kept.
    • Oversee work performed by planners and schedulers.
    • Monitor performance against metrics and goals as established/approved by others.
    • Prepare reports and graphs to illustrate work performed and work forecasted.
    • Participate in Plan of the Day and Plan of the Week process.
    • Participate in maintenance and construction related cost estimates.
    • Responsible for working within assigned budget.
    • Interact daily with subordinates and frequent interaction with manager.
    • External interactions are primarily with vendors and/or customers.
    • May perform work of the same type as those being supervised, as well as, providing technical guidance.
