  • Qualifications

    Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

    • Bachelor's degree in a computer, business, IT related field or equivalent training with at least 2 years of related experience.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office desired.
    • Experience in communications, business, project management or related discipline
    • Working knowledge of data entry, computerized maintenance management systems, call center or network operation center, or IT service management systems.
    • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills with proficiency in composition, proofreading, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
    • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
    • Must have current driver's license.

     

    Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4, “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, and subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709, “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.”

     

    Eligibility Requirements – To obtain a clearance, an individual must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age. Reference DOE Order 472.2, “Personnel Security.”

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as an Infrastructure Analyst II for the Emergency Communications Network (ECN) Program at the Remote Sensing Laboratory, Nellis (RSLN) on Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
    • Assist with the installation, operation, builds and maintenance of the Network Infrastructure Equipment, Software, Hardware, Video Teleconference, Audio Visual and Next Generation Kits.
    • Work with specific task direction and supervision from ECN Technical Staff.
    • Learn basic technical procedures for data collection and measurement. Performs routine work with supervision.
    • Assist with data entry, (Footprints, WASP, SOLARWinds), phones, customer request, ticketing workflow in the ECN Network Operation Center (NOC)
    • Supervisor reviews work for overall quality and adherence to procedures.  
    • Responsible for supporting ECN programs and projects.
    • Assist with the installation, operation and maintenance of the audio-visual infrastructure equipment including CISCO codes, various monitors and other AV integration devices.
    • Provide support to Video Teleconferencing System, troubleshooting, reconfiguration, and scheduling as required.
    • Support National Emergency Response group’s emergency response drills, exercises and real world events through on-call availability and travel via commercial and military aircraft when required.
    • Travel as part of an installation or restoration team when directed.
