  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 11 years' of related and progressively responsible experience.
    • Possess detailed knowledge of Strategic Partnership Projects (SPP) and Strategic Intelligence Partnership Projects (SIPP) various missions and responsibilities.
    • Demonstrated skill to plan, organize, lead, and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to achieve successful completion.
    • Must exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, and the ability to maintain constructive working relationships at all levels.
    • Knowledge and skill sufficient to develop, schedule, coordinate, and implement programs in areas of responsibility.
    • Established experience in personnel administration activities that include salary planning and administration, career counseling, and performance reviews.
    • Demonstrated work experience of effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to understand/explain technical concepts to non-technical personnel/customers/clients.
    • Ability to travel and work non-standard hours on short notice if required.
    • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing
    • Must have a valid driver’s license

    Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4, “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted.  Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, and subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709, “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.


    Eligibility Requirements – To obtain a clearance, an individual must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age. Reference DOE Order 472.2, “Personnel Security.”

    Serve as Manager of Technological Applications in the Applied Technology (AT) Department at the Remote Sensing Laboratory (RSL-N), located on Nellis Air Force Base. 


    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversees the execution of engineering projects including the development and approval of estimates, schedules and statements of work.
    • Provides coordination and guidance to Integrated Project Teams (IPT) to maintain budgetary, resource and scheduling discipline to assure IPT success during the support of multiple efforts.
    • Responsibilities include management of the day-to-day resource projects and personnel within the department.
    • Conducts goal planning, performance evaluations and assists in salary planning.
    • Ensures personnel training at the appropriate level, assists in personnel career development, completes personnel actions, and other relevant areas associated with sustaining a highly motivated workforce.
    • Provides direction on company processes to the department.
    • Creates an environment where employees feel safe to raise, address, and resolve issues.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Applied Technology Director.
