  • Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience plus at least 8 years related professional experience, which included at least 4 years as a designated Project Manager.
    • Knowledge and experience in National Nuclear Security Administration programs (NA-10/50/170), NNSS Infrastructure Portfolio and NNSS Infrastructure management tools/assets and projects.
    • Must have knowledge and skills sufficient to develop key project elements, schedule, cost, risks, and possess a strong understanding of project management concepts.
    • Previous project management experience defining, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and successfully completing discrete elements of scope in compliance with defined schedule, costs, risk, and quality constraints.
    • Experience that includes management systems development, quality assurance, and/or assessments.
    • Ability to exercise high degree of accuracy required in writing technical documents and ensuring all Company policies and procedures are followed.
    • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to interface with all levels of the organization.
    • Must treat all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.
    • Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for this absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4, “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted.  Applicant selected will be subject to Federal background investigation, and subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.   Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required.  Reference 10 CFR Part 709, “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.”  Eligibility Requirements – To obtain a clearance, an individual must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age.  Reference DOE Order 472.2, “Personnel Security.”
    • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

    • Manages medium projects ($5-20M TPC). Responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire lifecycle (initiation, planning, executing, monitoring & controlling, and closing).
    • Responsibilities include collaboration with other EIP Program Management, Facility/Asset Management, and execution organization personnel for the definition, prioritization, and planning of future Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) infrastructure investment projects. 
    • Oversight and execution of key program-specific and institutional planning, integration, communication and management systems including Integrated Systems Planning, Integration and Execution Boards, Customer Interface forums, annual portfolio prioritization, planning, and programming.
    • Applies project management best practices and processes through an Integrated Project Team approach for such items as project planning, work authorization, monitoring project performance, and controlling the project baseline.
    • Accept individual responsibility and accountability for environment, safety, health, and quality processes within personal control, personal safety, and the safety of co-workers. Comply with established regulations and procedures for environment, safety, health, and quality and perform duties in a way that will not cause personal danger, endanger other individuals, or violate environment, safety, health, and quality regulations. Promptly correct or report any hazard or potential hazard to supervision. Participate in and embrace MSTS environment, safety, health, and quality initiatives.
