  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business or videography related field and 8 years' of professional level experience with videography, photography, pre-to-post production, editing, or a related field, or equivalent training and experience.
    • Proficient knowledge of video/photography.
    • Fundamental knowledge of studio and location production procedures.
    • Knowledge and understanding of NNSS programs, activities, and organizations.
    • Ability to communicate (oral and written) with employees, managers, customers, vendors, etc.
    • Ability to set priorities.
    • Ability to monitor and measure performance
    • Ability to problem solve.
    • Demonstrated ability to produce, write, and shoot videos.
    • Demonstrated ability to professionally edit video using all non-linear editing systems including Avid, Final Cut, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and ability in professional editing of photographs using Adobe Creative Cloud.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of dSLR & mirrorless cameras, video camcorders, digital audio recorders and other devices used to capture audio/video/photo.
    • DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4, “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted.  Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, and subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709, “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.”
    • Eligibility Requirements – To obtain a clearance, an individual must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age. Reference DOE Order 472.2, “Personnel Security.”
    • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

    Responsibilities

    Maintains a comprehensive schedule of all videography and photography projects and needs; and allocates resources/personnel for each project requirements.

    • Works with directors and managers directly on developing and coordinating project needs.
    • Creates concepts for video and photography products.
    • Develops scripts and coordinates script approvals with various departments.
    • Writes video scripts independently as needed.
    • Performs videography and photography production project activities.
    • Maintains and upgrades all photo and video equipment including: cameras, camera accessories, hard drives, data cards, computers, laptops and studio equipment.
    • Ensures project deadlines are met.
    • Demonstrates a technical understanding of video production and photography.
    • Maintains and updates photography and videography companywide project process guidelines to promote quality and efficiency.
    • Maintains an understanding of requirements for publishing photo and video content to websites and social media platforms.
    • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects of various sizes.
    • Shoots video and photography projects.
    • Edits video.
    • Develop and maintain photo/video archive.
