MSTS is a limited liability company consisting of Honeywell International Inc. (Honeywell), Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Jacobs), and Stoller Newport News Nuclear, Inc. (SN3).



Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 2 years of professional level experience or equivalent training and experience to include a sound working knowledge of business principles, and administrative policies and procedures.

  • Able to utilize independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to resolve current and future problems and ensure requirements are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Skill to understand and apply knowledge of principles, concepts, and disciplines related to the position.
  • Ability to observe, receive, and obtain information from all relevant sources.
  • Must be highly organized to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned projects.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with internal and external contacts, representing the organization in a tactful, professional, and effective manner.
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with team members and maintain them.
  • Proficiency in the use of software applications including Microsoft Office, MSTS company databases, and general office equipment.
  • Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
  • Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

This position will perform administrative and business operations support duties and responsibilities for the Director of Engineering and Construction (E&C) with planning, coordinating, and directing a variety of office management functions within the organizational unit.

  • With discretion and independent judgment, you will read and analyze incoming emails of the Director of E&C for action items and important information to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
  • Review, maintains, and create appointments in the Outlook calendar of the Director of E&C to include arranging conference rooms for the scheduled meetings and/or conference calls to include organizing meeting materials and presentations.
  • Prepare and distribute the Weekly Security Report provided to NNSS/AMSS Nevada Field Office.
  • Apply knowledge and experience to compose correspondence and directorate activity reports.
  • Perform Time Administrative duties in PeopleSoft to oversee timekeeping functions and reports.
  • Arrange travel reservations for the Director and process Oracle iExpense reports.
  • Maintains records inventories within iCon as the Records Coordinator.
  • Access Pinnacle to submit and approve telephone service requests.
  • Run training reports in Plateau to ensure E&C staff is update with company required training.
  • Develop and maintain organization charts in Visio.
  • Directs office operations, including reproduction, supply inventory, and equipment services.
  • Exchange of information and work with peers, both within and outside of your work group, and work with outside agencies, customers/sponsors, and suppliers as assigned.
  • Provide guidance and training to directorate support personnel, interns, and subcontractors as required.
  • Prepare Job Requisition Worksheets to start the new hire process to include distribution of the resumes to the hiring manager, organize live and/or telephone interviews, arranging visitation to the NNSS/NLV, and ensure the interview evaluations and final recommendation are completed in PeopleSoft.
  • Works independently on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
  • It is highly recommended to contribute to improving operations/processes, solving problems, and addressing issues for improving work group effectiveness.
  • SharePoint web page development and maintenance of the E&C Directorate Web Site.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required by the E&C Director and staff.
