The Portfolio Manager role requires a balance of external considerations (customers, markets) and internal environment (operational execution, program execution, and technical landscape) to lead a tactical and strategic effort for the assigned portfolio of programs. Therefore, the role requires familiarity with NNSS capabilities and offerings, understanding of external environmental and customer needs, and a strong leadership/communication style. This role will operate within a matrixed organization and be required to work horizontally and vertically, across sites, collaborating with functions to prioritize within constraints and deliver on commitments in a challenging environment.
This Portfolio Manager will lead and manage through an Integrated Program/Project Team and be responsible for the overall program management of multiple reimbursable product/service programs. This includes the cost, scope, schedule and risks of programs in the portfolio. The Portfolio Manager represents the Company to primary stakeholders through the negotiation, management and delivery of all program requirements. Portfolio Manager responsibilities will include technical market analysis, portfolio strategy and roadmap development as well as new product/service introduction responsibilities.
