MSTS is a limited liability company consisting of Honeywell International Inc. (Honeywell), Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Jacobs), and Stoller Newport News Nuclear, Inc. (SN3).

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a business related field and 2 years' of professional level experence, or equivalent training and experience.

 

  • Knowledge of the FleetCommander system and reporting process
  • Knowledge of General Service Administration (GSA) rules and requirements for fleet vehicles
  • Must possess planning/organizing skills and initiative; apply knowledge and experience to ensure that requirements are completed effectively, on time and are cost effective
  • Must possess interpersonal communication skills to interface effectively with all contacts in a professional manner
  • Able to understand complex data, terminology, procedures, and regulations
  • Able to use personal computer, printers, copiers, telephones, fax machine, calculators, and other general office equipment
  • Able to follow oral and written instruction and follow through on all assignments
  • Able to apply knowledge and experience in interpreting data and performing work where established procedures may not be specific, using some creativity and initiative
  • Able to plan/organize work to complete in the most efficient manner and meet required deadlines
  • Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions and time constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and review the work of others in a positive, effective manner
  • Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting required data used to report federal fleet operations using the Fleet Automotive Statistical Tool (FAST) Program, examples of required data include fuel consumption, fuel types, number of vehicles, miles driven, alternative fuel waiver exemption and the OMB Circular A-11 financial cost of operations
  • Reporting of NNSS personnel citation activity by tracking the number of citations per driver and make notifications to the appropriate managers to comply with company procedures for disciplinary action
  • Serves as the point of contact for FleetCommander, an automated motor vehicle self-dispatching system, providing passwords, providing customer assistance with the vehicle reservation process
  • Reporting to the department supervisor any hardware or software problems encountered with FleetCommander
  • Ensures the correct composition of the motor vehicle pools to meet customer requirements i.e. number of sedans, pickup trucks and vans
    • Maintains trip logs for vehicle use records
    • Solicits letters of justification for underutilized vehicles
    • Provides statistical information relative to miles driven per vehicle type and to make determination and recommendation to the department supervisor to compile local use objectives per 41cfr part 109
  • Other duties as requested by the department supervisor
