MSTS is a limited liability company consisting of Honeywell International Inc. (Honeywell), Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Jacobs), and Stoller Newport News Nuclear, Inc. (SN3).



  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalent training and experience plus 8 years’ of related professional level experience, which includes 4 years’ as a designated Project Manager, 
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Five or more years commercial business project management experience preferred.
  • Experience in nuclear or ISO17025 calibration activities.
  • Strong business management and communication skills required.

Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4, “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted.  Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, and subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709, “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.”


Eligibility Requirements – To obtain a clearance, an individual must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age. Reference DOE Order 472.2, “Personnel Security.”

  • Leadership position to manage the Standards & Calibration Program for the corporation that involves complex and technically challenging scopes of work starting with development of a compliant corporate calibration program through organizational implementation.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the Standards & Calibration Program and project activities over the entire life-cycle that includes initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling activities related to the calibration activities and the quality assurance program.
  • Responsible for using project management processes, techniques, and tools to ensure that the calibration quality requirements are implemented in an effective manner. As part of the implementation will be responsible for pro-actively developing and implementing strategies that will mitigate risk during and following implementation.
  • Responsible for performing quality assurance functions in support of development, management, and implementation of the corporate Standards and Calibration Program to ensure requirements, policies, and standards are implemented, maintained, and improved.
  • Designs, develops, and creates the implementation strategy for the Standards & Calibration Program and associated implementing procedures and processes.  
  • Develops and presents training on the calibration processes including use and procurement of calibrated assets.
  • Leads or participates on audits, commercial grade surveys, or evaluations of calibration suppliers and service providers.
  • Interfaces with all company satellite calibration organizations to ensure consistent and effective implementation of the calibration quality processes. 
  • Knowledge or work experience with calibration codes and standards such as ASME, IEEE, ISO, ANS, etc.
  • Knowledge of implementation, development, and quality calibration controls under a nuclear quality assurance program. 
  • Participate on committees and boards as the quality member responsible to instill quality values into calibration activities.
  • Will have frequent communication with Sandia National Laboratory's Primary Standards Laboratory.
  • Ability to communicate with managers and professionals both inside and outside of the QA organization.
