MSTS is a limited liability company consisting of Honeywell International Inc. (Honeywell), Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Jacobs), and Stoller Newport News Nuclear, Inc. (SN3).



  • Bachelor's degree in English or Communications or related field and at least two years' of professional level experience, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Excellent oral, verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of standard edit and proofreading marks.
  • Ability to work well with authors to create documents that meet company standards and directives.
  • Ability to work quickly to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with standard office software such ad Microsoft Office Adobe, etc., required.
  • Familiarity with professional graphics desktop publishing software such as Illustrator and Photoshop, a plus.
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to communicate with coworkers, customers, and management/supervisor.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, technical manuals, software documentation, procedures, diagrams and illustrations, blueprints, schematics and other technical information is desirable.
  • Must possess an appropriate, valid driver’s license.


Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4, “Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites,” will be conducted.  Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, and subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709, “Counterintelligence Evaluation Program.”


Eligibility Requirements – To obtain a clearance, an individual must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age. Reference DOE Order 472.2, “Personnel Security.”

  • Develop, write, edit, and proofread work authorization documents, operating procedures, reports, instructions, planning documents, and others as needed.
  • Maintain company documentation, electronic files and hardcopy.
  • Become familiar with company templates for all documentation.
  • Provide graphics support by scanning and/or creating drawings, viewgraphs and others as needed.
  • Assist in processing scientific and technical information for Department of Energy approval and publication.
